The Veil Nebula in the constellation Cygnus is a spectacular supernova remnant and emits a lot of visible light. So it is an easy to capture target for small equipment like mine:
- Imaging telescope: Samyang 135mm @ f/2.0
- Imaging camera: ASI178MM (uncooled)
- Mount: OTE-150-I, unguided
- Baader Narrowband Filter (Ha, SII, OIII)
- Total Exposure time: 16h40min
- Images taken in July 2018
Open Source Hardware Tools I used to capture this surprisingly deep view:
- My Bahtinov mask for sharp focus
- Dovetail adapter Astroschelle-SY135
- Sony E-mount to ASI camera adapter: ETOASI
