My name is Andreas Dietz, I'm an engineer of optoelectronics, a hobby astronomer and I live in the middle of Bavaria, Germany. I'm the founder of dakloifarwa and I started my little business in 2017.
I have plenty of ideas for new and helpful products, not only for astronomical use but also for everyday's life. And I'm looking forward to present them here from time to time.
Astronomy has been a passion of me for more than 20 years now. With the arrival of comet Hyakutake in 1996 I did my first steps in astrophotography with an Canon AE-1 SLR. Also being a passionate 'maker', I developed several tools for my astrophotography stuff. In early 2017 I decided to offer some of my DIY astronomy tools for sale as my friends at astrobin.com encouraged me to do that step. So I created this tiny online store for my few things.
With the rise of open source hardware and the democratization of manufacturing I felt a great opportunity to make some of my ideas become reality and I would like to share them with others.
All of my products' design files will always be released as open source. You can find most of them at github.
